Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have payment plans?

Yes! There are two ways you can pay - online or in person. There are no payment plans when paying online. You must pay the entire balance with a credit card. However, if you register at one of our In-Person Registration Nights, you have the option to set up a payment plan. For our JBO program (grades 3 through 8), all registration fees must be paid before or at JBO evaluations.

Can I request a particular team or coach?

T-ball and AA - MYB's priority is to form balanced teams and promote a competitive, level playing field for all teams - often placing players from the same school or location. The league will try to accommodate requests to have certain children play together for carpooling and other reasons, but we cannot guarantee accommodation of these requests.

JBO - No. All JBO players must evaluate. No teams are formed and no coaches are chosen before evaluations. After players are evaluated, coaches will be chosen and teams will be formed based on level of skill.

When is the registration deadline?

Minor / Junior JBO - Deadline is Friday, February 7th. After evaluations on February 8th, registration will remain open ONLY if players are needed to fill teams and may close at any time.

Senior JBO - Deadline is Friday, February 21st. After evaluations on February 22nd, registration will remain open ONLY if players are needed to fill teams and may close at any time.

T-ball / AA (Coach Pitch) - Deadline is Friday, March 6th. After March 6th, registration will remain open ONLY if players are needed to fill teams and may close at any time.

Do I need to purchase equipment?

MYB provides baseballs and catcher's gear for all levels. Helmets, gloves, shoes/cleats and bats need to be purchased. Metal cleats are only allowed at the Senior JBO level. Players should also wear an athletic supporter/cup.

MYB will have a Trade Table we set up at evaluations. This is a great opportunity to drop off any unused gear or pick up something you might need!

What are the bat rules?

JBO has issued a few updates regarding bat rules and pitch counts. There are no new changes to bat certifications. All BBCOR, BPF 1.15, and USABaseball bats are allowed. Wood bats are also allowed.
